Global Poverty Initiative - National Canned Food Month

The items were taken and donated to St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry which operates the largest food pantry in the midwest.  After weighing in, Alpha Mu Omega Chapter donated over 100 pounds of food to St. Vincent DePaul to aid in their efforts and the efforts of the Global Poverty Initiative to stamp out and eliminate hunger in Indianapolis, IN and worldwide.

Emerging Young Leaders Initiatives

The signature program will impact the lives of 10,000 girls in grades six through eight by providing leadership development, civic engagement, enhanced academic preparation and character building.  Fifteen eighth graders graduated in June 2012 from the program.

Beautification of the Parent Resource Center at the Christamore House

The Economic Security Initiative expands the current programs related to wealth building and allocation of resources, home ownership, estate planning, support and empowerment of female owned businesses and urban enterprise zones.

Global Poverty Initiative at the Lord's Pantry

The day starts with sorting bread, unloading and sorting fruits and vegetables from the delivery truck, and arranging grocery items.  Then the fun begins! Volunteers work either behind the tables distributing the food or walk with guests carrying their grocery bags while they choose their items.  The day ends with cleaning tables, mopping the floor and emptying trash.
